We’ve all had some major difficulties to deal with during the pandemic, but one thing that stands out to me is that we didn’t get to say goodbye to one of my favorite teammates, Mona. 😢 Mona moved to Victoria the week we shut down, we didn’t get to say a proper goodbye and we didn’t get to throw her a going away party. Sorry that we didn’t get to give you a proper send off Mona. All the best to you in your new life in Victoria, we love you and stay safe!! ❤️
“Being a part of Westside has really changed my life. Growing up, I always hated P.E. and was never really good at any kind of sport. In my adult life, I tried going to the gym, taking yoga classes, spinning, you name it. I would always give up shortly after starting. My first class at Westside was like going on a first date and finding that spark. We just clicked! Kickboxing has been the only sport I’ve stuck with and for the first time in my life, I was exercising consistently. I was always looking forward to going to the class. Not many people can say that about exercising. The people and friendly atmosphere Is what drew me in. Plus each class felt like the best workout of my life. Kickboxing has been the only type of exercise that can clear my head and relieve me of any stresses in my life. What more can you ask for?
I’ve learned so much at Westside and thank you for your guidance and pushing us to do better. You’ve really created such a unique and wonderful space. I’ll miss my Westside family, but it’s not goodbye, just see you later!” Mona Yuan
